Devblog #3 - Big Changes
Hi everyone,
I’m excited to share that development on the game is going really well! This update is quite a big one in terms of gameplay, and I wanted to experiment with some new ideas. Here’s what’s new:
-
No more hero recruitment – you now start with a single hero and play the game with them.
-
Randomized hero stats – your hero stats are randomized. (I am not happy with the leveling currently ingame)
-
Death has consequences – when you die, you lose your equipped items, but you can continue your journey.
-
Abilities and followers – new abilities have been added, and you unlock them by recruiting followers. Followers can now be found in the INN building.
-
UI overhaul – the interface has been reworked quite a bit, so I’d love to hear your feedback on it.
-
Font issue still pending – having two different fonts is proving more challenging than expected, so that fix will come in a future update.
-
Bug fixes (and new bugs!) – some issues have been resolved, and as always, a few new ones might have sneaked in.
Game Name Change
One more big piece of news: the game’s name has officially changed from Kleroo to Lootbane.
After a lot of thought, I feel that Lootbane better reflects the genre and feel of the game, even though I still have a soft spot for Kleroo.
Wishlist on Steam
More updates are coming soon, with additional features and changes. If you like where the game is heading, please consider adding it to your Steam wishlist:
